Welcome to Noble Vista

Noble Vista is a development in Upton, MA. The development, which was originated by Shining Rock Development, LLC as part of the overall Shining Rock development. The development has been beset with a number of problems, as Shining Rock Development, LLC destoyed and altered wetlands, allowed siltation of streams and changed the grading to create all kinds of flooding for homeowners near the proposed site. The Conservation Commission of Upton and the state EPA have been on Shining Rock Development, LLC for several years to get the developer to admit to and fix the damage the agencies attribute to their work.

Noble Vista recently changed hands, as Shining Rock Development, LLC, it is rumored is running short of the cash needed to continue work on the Shining Rock golf course. We understand that Pulte Homes of New England, LLC has purchased Noble Vista from Shining Rock Development, LLC. In many ways, this is just trading incompetence for incompetence.

Shining Rock Development, LLC has, in this author's opinion displayed a total disdain for authority. Further, Shining Rock Development, LLC's attitude towards any abutter seems simple - we're in his way. What he wants is what counts and he'll do anything necessary to get his way. If destryong wetlands is necessary, so be it. If pitting neighbor against neighbor works, that's just fine. If the town boards want something different, tough. It's Freddy's way or the highway. Inconsistent information, changing stories, ambiguous answers to straight up questions, these are the tactics of Shining Rock Development, LLC.

As far as Pulte Homes of New England, LLC goes, they aren't much better. There are many, many examples of Pulte Homes of New England, LLC's spreading incorrect information, failing to live up to promises, ignoring safety concerns, supporting harassment by vendors, etc., etc. Worst of all, Pulte Homes of New England, LLC's homes simply are built on the cheap.

Defects are the norm, not the exception. Customer Service is a concept, not a reality. It's simply not unusual to never receive a call back, even on an emergency called in on the weekend.

So, if you're looking at Noble Vista, good luck. Ask more questions than you think necessary. If you don't, trust me - you will be sorry.
